American
universities have different criteria to accept applications. The exams which are usually
required and applied at all bi-national centers all over the word are also applied here,
at ICBEU-BH, at internationally scheduled times. These tests are of two kinds:
TOEIC -
Test of English for International Communication
TOEFL - Test of English as a Foreign Language
GMAT -
Graduate Management
Admission
GRE - Gratuate Record Examination
USMLE - United States Medical Licensing
Examination
ECPE "Examination for the Certificate of
Proficiency
in English", of the University of Michigan. Its a test of proficiency in the
English Language, acknowledge by many universities as well as by the Brazilian government,
the MEC (Ministry of Education and Culture) and the UFMG (Federal University of Minas
Gerais). Its score can be converted by the University of Michigan into MELAB -- a test
accepted as a substitute for TOEFL.

TSE "TOEFL Speaking Examination" Oral exam
sometimes required by some American Universities and applied once every semester on prior
application with the ETS.
